John Hedrick was born and raised in Southern California. He attended Alfred University in New York for his Undergraduate studies in Fine Arts, worked in various positions with glass, clay, wood, metals, rubbers and resins before earning his MFA from CSU Fullerton in 2013. It was after graduate school that he focused on CAD solutions to problems of design, creating a line of lighting all his own using custom CNC hardware machined to spec. In his nearly ten years of working within solids based software, he has completed projects for individuals ranging from artists to homeowners and entities ranging from museums to upstart non-profits.
as of 2019, John Hedrick is a certified user of Solidworks software and continues to study within this vast platform.
